Job Description

What you’ll do...

Technical Excellence

  • Architect & Build: Drive the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable features, ensuring alignment with core architectural principles.
  • Code Excellence: Write high-quality, testable code and champion SOLID principles and modern design patterns.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Lead the breakdown and delivery of major epics, managing technical risks, estimations, and production health.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensure comprehensive test coverage, and lead incident troubleshooting and post-mortems.

AI & Innovation

  • AI-First Development: Champion the use of AI tools (like GitHub Copilot) to optimize development workflows and enhance team productivity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and integrate industry best practices into the team’s ecosystem.

Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Mentor & Onboard: Guide fellow engineers through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and proactive technical mentorship.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear updates on project blockers and milestones.
  • Agile Mindset: Deeply engage in Scrum ceremonies and foster a collaborative, feedback-driven team culture.

Desired Skills and Experience

What we would like to see you bring to the team...

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a software engineer in an agile/scrum environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Java and Spring. Ability to learn and adapt to different programming languages and frameworks as needed.
  • Deep understanding of Spring Boot, Hibernate, MVC, and design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS), API design, microservices, event-driven architecture (e.g., Kafka), and an understanding of Domain Driven Design.
  • Proficiency with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and code versioning tools like Git.
  • Security-minded development approach (OWASP top 10 awareness).
  • Understanding of fundamental design principles for building scalable and concurrent applications.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, and debugging production systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
