Job Description

As the Lead AI Engineer, you will will spearhead the development and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions that power intelligent automation across ELMO’s core HR platform. This role requires deep expertise in modern AI/ML systems, agentic AI architecture, and AI-enhanced integrations, combined with a passion for driving technical innovation and scalable engineering practices.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Lead AI Architecture: You will design and implement enterprise-scale AI systems, driving technical architecture and system design decisions for AI-native applications.
  • Revolutionary AI Development: You will design, deploy, and build agentic AI workflows for complex HR scenarios using Large Language Models, RAG architectures, and multi-agent systems. This includes creating real-time AI processing pipelines and developing AI-powered integrations with more than 50 SaaS platforms.
  • Technical Leadership: You will lead a growing AI team of ML/AI engineers and automation specialists, mentoring and developing junior engineers, and contributing to the growth of an AI center of excellence. You'll also drive technical decisions that will influence the company's AI strategy for years to come.
  • Business Impact: You will focus on business outcomes, such as reducing customer onboarding time from weeks to hours through intelligent automation, enhancing SaaS integrations with AI-powered data mapping, and enabling predictive HR analytics.
  • Platform Innovation: You will integrate AI capabilities into the existing automation platform, build scalable ML infrastructure on cloud platforms, and ensure responsible AI practices that comply with privacy, fairness, and global regulations. You will also design APIs and SDKs that empower customers to build their own AI-enhanced workflows.

Positional Qualifications, Attributes and Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a concentration in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience of minimum of three years.
  • 7+ years of hands-on AI/ML engineering experience with 3+ years in leadership roles
  • Deep expertise in Large Language Models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Bedrock)
  • Production experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar)
  • Strong background in MLOps and AI system architecture at scale
  • Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and modern ML engineering tools
  • Follow industry best practices.
  • Well-developed communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
