We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Anaplan Implementation Consultant / Solution Architect to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team.
The primary objective is the development of efficient, scalable, and high-performance models. This position maintains full architectural ownership of the Anaplan ecosystem, transforming existing processes into a high-performance, multi-dimensional engine.
Acting as the primary bridge between raw financial data and executive decision-making, this role is responsible for the technical health and long-term scalability of the platform. Success is driven by a focus on logic optimization, precision modelling, and the engineering of resilient, automated data integrations built to scale alongside company growth.
Key Responsibilities:
● Architectural Design: Lead the end-to-end design of Anaplan models (Connected Planning) including Finance, Workforce, Sales modules.
● Model Building: Translate business requirements into technical blueprints, utilizing Anaplan best practice Way methodology and PLANS standards to build high-performing, sustainable models.
● Data Integration: Manage data flows between Anaplan and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., NetSuite, Salesforce, Payroll Metrics, Snowflake) using CloudWorks and third-party ETL tools (N8N, Alteryx)
● Strategic Advisory: Partner with the FP&A team and the business to evolve our forecasting capabilities, including long-range planning, annual budget, and rolling forecasts.
● Optimization: Audit existing models to improve performance, reduce sparsity, and enhance the user experience for our finance and non-finance end-users.
● Enablement: Conduct training sessions for "Modelers" and "End Users" within the Finance team to foster a culture of self-sufficiency.
● Ensures compliance with ELMO’s information security privacy policies and procedures.
Key Skills & Experience:
● Planning Cycle Acceleration: Quantifiable reduction in time-to-close for monthly forecasts and annual budget cycles (e.g., compressing a 10-day process to 5 days)
● Integration Reliability: Achieve 100% success rate for automated data loads from ERP/CRM systems, eliminating manual data entry for core processes.
● Sprint Velocity: Ensure the consistent, on-time delivery of new features and model enhancements in alignment with the quarterly FP&A roadmap.
● User Adoption: Maintain a high satisfaction score from internal Finance users as well as the wider business regarding the ease of use and intuitiveness of the dashboards.
● Data Governance & Accuracy: Maintain rigorous data accuracy across all modules, ensuring the Anaplan ecosystem remains the "single source of truth."
● Audit Compliance: Maintain 100% documentation for model changes and ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) logs to ensure clear version control.
Positional Qualifications, Attributes and Skills:
● Anaplan Certified Model Builder, Solution Architect or Master Anaplaner.
● 5+ years of Anaplan implementation experience (internal or consulting)
● Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and Consolidation logic
● Mastery of complex logic, mapping, and multi-dimensional modeling
● Experience re-engineering manual, spreadsheet-heavy processes into automated cloud solutions
● Ability to manage "sprint" cycles, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and deployment timelines
● Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
● Ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
