Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager , the Product Owner is responsible for collaborating with the development team to achieve product goals. This involves working closely with the Product Manager, Product Designer, Developers and other business stakeholders to acquire an in-depth understanding of customer and business needs, leveraging HR subject matter expertise and then translating these requirements to the development team. Of the product roles, the Product Owner has the most in-depth understanding of business rules and functional design. In addition, the Product Owner plays a generalist role, supporting the delivery of the Sprint Plan including management of implications for other development teams and/or business departments. This includes, but is not limited to stakeholder engagement, meeting facilitation, triage, informal reviews and acceptance testing.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Preferable’ experience as a Product Owner working with SaaS technology platform.
  • Must have the ability to work in an agile team and ideally have had experience writing user stories.
  • Experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Well written documentation skills.

Positional Qualifications, Attributes and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or equivalent within a SaaS technology platform.
  • Deep understanding of Agile product management and delivery methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Familiarity with user-centred design principles.
  • Confidence to proactively identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Experience in a B2B environment, with mobile development or in HR is highly desired.
  • Confidence in highlighting issues and suggesting solutions.
