Job Description

As a Product Designer, you’ll be responsible for delivering industry-leading modern, intuitive product experiences across ELMO’s HRIS platform from concept to execution. Reporting to the Design Leader, the Product Designer is a hands-on member of a cross-functional R&D platform team.

You will work end-to-end through the E2E product design process from problem discovery and validation, through vision setting, into detailed UX/UI design and delivery for complex, omni-channel workflows serving multiple stakeholder groups. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers and other designers, and GTM team to shape product direction, modernise our UX and product identity, and support effective go‑to‑market communication.

Core Responsibilities:

  • 4+ years of Product Design experience with a focus on product design and UI across a variety of digital platforms - Web, Mobile, Responsive Design.
  • You will be a strategic collaborator acting as the connective tissue between Product, Engineering, and GTM teams, translating complex user needs into technical realities and compelling market narratives.
  • Expertise in E2E Product Design development - from early vision setting, research and concept development, through to detailed design solutions that are validated to meet business and user goals.
  • Ability to clearly communicate concepts and designs through prototypes, sketches, high-fidelity concept design, and presentations. Highly skilled and fast in any tools you need to visualise your ideas and deliver the work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to present work to cross functional teams and group executives.
  • Plan and conduct design research (e.g. customer interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys, usability testing) to validate problem spaces and opportunities.
  • Champion the user - through testing, ensuring our omni-channel user experiences are inclusive, accessible, and delight our customers and their employees.
  • Contribute to and evolve our living design system, crafting reusable, high-quality components that ensure design impact and consistency across platforms, and engineering development efficiency and time to market.
  • Experience in shipping digital products from start to finish including the documentation and development process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to present work to large groups and executives.
  • Expertise in design tools, such as Figma, Miro, Adobe CS.
  • Competency with Agile ways of working, AI adoption and software and research tools, such Atlassian, Dovetail, Claude.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the elements, principles, and history of graphic design.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar role within a SaaS or digital product environment.
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree or higher in Product Design, UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related design discipline.
