Job Description

About the Opportunity...

We’re seeking a Learning Experience Consultant to own the end‑to‑end instructional design, content development, and facilitation of payroll solution training for customers and internal teams. You’ll translate complex payroll workflows into engaging learning experiences that drive adoption, reduce time‑to‑value, and build user confidence.

What you’ll do...

  • Conduct training needs analysis, learner profiling, and task analysis to define learning objectives and success measures for payroll learning journeys.
  • Design blended learning programs (self‑paced eLearning, live virtual, and in‑person) including curricula, storyboards, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, exercises, scenarios, and assessments.
  • Develop high‑quality learning assets (videos, interactive modules, simulations, job aids, quick‑reference guides, knowledge checks) aligned to adult learning principles and accessibility standards.
  • Facilitate live training (virtual and onsite) for customers, partners, and internal audiences; manage logistics, pacing, and engagement for mixed-ability cohorts.
  • Build role‑based pathways (e.g., payroll administrators, HR, managers, finance) covering setup, configuration, processing cycles, audits, reporting, compliance, and troubleshooting.
  • Partner with Product, Professional Services, and Support to keep training current with releases; transform SMEs’ knowledge and product updates into scalable learning.
  • Curate and maintain a searchable content library; version and retire content on a defined cadence.
  • Embed change management techniques to support go‑live readiness, post‑implementation reinforcement, and certification where relevant.

Desired Skills and Experience

What we would like to see you bring to the team...

  • Proven experience in instructional design and learning facilitation for SaaS, HRIS, or payroll solutions.
  • Strong classroom and virtual facilitation skills with demonstrable learner engagement techniques.
  • Working knowledge of payroll concepts (pay cycles, awards/agreements, leave, super/retirement, taxation, audits, reporting) and how they show up in system workflows.
  • Expertise in adult learning theory & assessment design
  • Ability to translate complex product functionality into simple, task‑based learning and practice activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management; comfortable collaborating with consultants, SMEs, and product managers.
  • Strong project management, prioritisation, and version control across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Have an open mind to accelerate L&D practices with AI and AI Technologies.
