Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM), will drive new business growth for ELMO's HR & Payroll software suite. This role involves managing the entire sales process, including prospecting, demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and closing deals to meet quarterly revenue quotas.

Key Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Developing clear strategies for value generation and achieving targets
  • Proactively hunting for new business opportunities and managing these deals through to a close.
  • Being responsive to all inbound Leads allocated to you and managing these deals through to a close.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other business units at ELMO such as the Sales, Enablement and Marketing team to support marketing initiatives as required
  • Be able to articulate the ELMO offering, across all aspects.
  • Strategically consult with key client stakeholders to gain an in-depth understanding of the organisational outcomes required

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills & Experience

  • At least 2-3 years' of demonstrated sales experience within the technology industry, preferably HR/Payroll technology.
  • Self starter with a strong ability to prospect for new business via relevant channels.
  • Outbound Prospecting skills are required for this role. You must be able to work autonomously and self-generate your pipeline.
  • Strong understanding of the software/technology sales cycle
  • Understanding of HR/Payroll or other Cloud-based software solutions will be highly regarded. 
  • Knowledge of information Security and Data Integrity Standards and Protocols.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to suit a wide range of people and contexts.
  • Extremely motivated to earn a high income.
