Our Sales Development Representatives (SDR) are the 'engines of our business'  and often the first point of contact our customers have with ELMO so they play a HUGE role in our sales eco-system. Our SDRs source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and/or outbound calls and email outreach to facilitate lead generation and subsequent qualification. The SDR is responsible for generating new leads and actioning warm leads that come from the Marketing and Sales Channels. 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Reacting to inbound leads that come in from demo requests, content downloads, referrals, and other lead sources.
  • Prospecting opportunities by targeting a specific type of buyer and generating interest mainly via calls, emails, or social media.
  • Outbound business development calls & email outreach
  • Working towards daily & monthly targets to achieve your goals
  • Identifying and researching appropriate prospects, establishing relationships, and driving leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Qualifying leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.
  • Routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate Business Development Manager for further development and closure.
  • Developing campaigns to facilitate lead generation.
  • Ensuring all required Sales and Marketing indicators are tracked in Salesforce to facilitate accurate and regular reporting against key metrics.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant work experience as a Sales Development Representative or similar role.
  • Experience in developing leads from marketing campaigns and meeting sales quotas.
  • Ability to cultivate, build, and maintain lasting relationships with customers.
  • CRM Salesforce experience is favourable; however, full training is provided.
  • Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent listening skills and strong written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with high energy and self-starter attitude!
  • A team player - a collaborative approach! 
  • Desired domain knowledge in the HR & Payroll and/or technology space (but not essential).
