Job Description

About the opportunity...

Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Drive the adoption of modern mobile technologies and development best practices
  • Translate complex business needs into clean, scalable technical solutions
  • Influence enterprise architecture and contribute to strategic technical decisions
  • Ensure alignment with the broader product and technical roadmap
  • Promote a strong engineering culture with high standards for code, design, and delivery
  • Lead code reviews, manage technical debt, and champion continuous improvement

AI-Driven Development Culture

  • Champion AI adoption across mobile development (e.g. GitHub Copilot, other tools)
  • Identify AI-powered workflows that boost developer productivity and innovation
  • Mentor the team on practical, value-driven use of AI in software development

People Leadership & Team Building

  • Recruit, onboard, and lead a team of talented mobile engineers
  • Create a collaborative, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture
  • Provide mentorship, career guidance, and feedback
  • Empower engineers through clear goals, ownership, and support

Quality & Process Excellence

  • Implement strong testing, CI/CD, and production monitoring practices
  • Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and compliance standards
  • Define and track engineering KPIs to measure success and drive improvements

Desired Skills and Experience

What we would like to see you bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience (5+ years)
  • Strong skills in React Native (Expo), TypeScript, Node.js.
  • Experience building mobile apps with event-driven microservices architecture
  • Proficient with cloud platforms, Docker/Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, API security, and authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML, JWT)
  • 3+ years leading engineering teams with Agile/Scrum experience
  • Excellent communicator and problem solver, comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Bonus: Experience with third-party integrations, AI tools, performance optimization, and compliance knowledge.
