Job Description

The core responsibilities of the Senior Salesforce Administrator includes but is not limited to:

Advanced Salesforce Administration & Configuration

  • Lead the administration, configuration, and customization of Salesforce to meet business requirements across multiple departments (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, etc.).
  • Implement complex automation using Flow, Apex, Process Builder, and Visualforce to improve business processes and increase efficiency.
  • Manage and oversee the setup of custom objects, fields, page layouts, workflows, approval processes, and security configurations to ensure the platform is aligned with business needs.

Salesforce Optimization & Integration

  • Drive ongoing improvements to the Salesforce platform, ensuring system performance, scalability, and usability as the organization grows.
  • Design and implement Salesforce integrations with third-party tools (e.g., ERP, marketing automation, financial systems) to ensure seamless data flow and process automation across systems.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of new Salesforce features and product releases, leveraging them to enhance operational efficiency and user experience.

Reporting, Analytics & Dashboards Support

  • Support the internal team with complex, custom reports and dashboards.
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency across the system, performing regular audits and clean-ups to ensure that the data remains accurate and reliable in cooperation with internal teams.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior Salesforce administrators and other team members on best practices, troubleshooting, and advanced configuration techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance) to understand their requirements and deliver Salesforce solutions that support business goals.
  • Provide training and support to users across departments, creating documentation, training materials, and knowledge base articles as needed.

Salesforce Governance & Compliance

  • Define and enforce Salesforce governance policies, including data security, permissions, and user access, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and external regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with Salesforce best practices, industry trends, and legal/compliance requirements related to CRM systems and data management.

Change Management & Project Management

  • Manage and prioritize the delivery of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes to the Salesforce platform, working closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective delivery.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) for new Salesforce features, ensuring that changes align with business requirements and meet high standards for quality and usability.

System Performance & Optimization

  • Continuously monitor system performance and address any issues related to system downtime, slow performance, or user experience.
  • Implement Salesforce best practices for data storage, system optimization, and performance management.

  • 5+ years of experience in Salesforce administration, with a proven track record of managing large, complex Salesforce instances and implementing advanced configurations.
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (required).
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce automation tools (e.g., Process Builder, Flow, Apex, Visualforce), and familiarity with the full Salesforce product suite (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and analytics features.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party tools and applications (via REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or ETL tools).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Developer Console, Developer Tools, and Salesforce DX (if applicable).
  • Understanding of Salesforce security models, profiles, permission sets, and data access controls.
